Join us for our semiannual Bagful of Books Sale. Hosted by the Friends of the Hopewell - Prince George Libraries, a non-profit organization committed to enhancing and advocating for The Appomattox Regional Library System. Get a bagful of books for $2. The sale lasts from 11 am to 2pm. However, if you are a member of the Hopewell-Prince George Friends of the Library, you have the privilege of shopping an hour early from 10am to 11am.
Whether you’re on the hunt for an enthralling mystery, a gripping thriller, or materials for continuing education, our sale has something for everyone. Bring along your standard-sized plastic grocery bags or reusable totes to carry away your literary treasures. Additionally, plastic grocery bags will be provided on-site while stocks last, so you can gather as many as you need. Keep in mind that children’s books sell quickly and are in high-demand, so please arrive early to claim those literary gems (you can also take advantage of that Friends of the Library membership). Volunteers strive to categorize books by genre and author beforehand. However, sifting through different authors and genres is part of the fun. Interested in joining our team of volunteers to help set up the book sale? Reach out to us at 804-458-6329 ext. 2001. We look forward to seeing you at the sale.
